Shop to support rare cancer this holiday season

The holiday season means cooking a Thanksgiving turkey, decorating the tree, baking cookies, sending Christmas cards, and getting a new delivery from Amazon almost every day! (Ok, maybe that last part is just me!)

Food and fun are important parts of Christmastime, but Steven knew that giving was the most important way to celebrate. Giving thoughtful gifts to loved ones and supporting worthwhile causes were important to Steven, both during the holidays and all year long.

This season will look different for most of us this year, but there are two special ways to honor Steven’s giving spirit and help the Steven Vanover Foundation while safely celebrating the holidays.

The Steven Vanover Foundation has partnered with Kroger and Amazon for a few years now. These programs make it easy to fight rare cancers while making all of the purchases that come with the season. Many of Steven’s favorite holiday traditions involved his aunts’ cooking. With Kroger Community Rewards, you can purchase the ingredients for your family’s favorites and SVF will receive 1% of your purchases. Furthermore, you can complete your holiday gift list from the safety of home using AmazonSmile, and 0.5% of your spending will go to SVF.

This year, honor Steven’s giving spirit by signing up for these programs. Just follow the steps below.

Kroger Community Rewards:

  1. Sign in to your digital account at kroger.com or create a digital account.

  2. Under “My Account” click on the link for “Community Rewards.”

  3. Choose “Steven Vanover Foundation” for your charity and click “Save.”

  4. Shop at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus Cards as usual.

AmazonSmile:

  1. Visit https://smile.amazon.com/ and log in to your Amazon account.

  2. Under “Accounts & Lists,” click on “Your AmazonSmile.”

  3. Choose “Steven Vanover Foundation” as your charity.

  4. Shop as you usually do. Remember to use the smile.amazon.com site! (Purchases made on the Amazon app or amazon.com do not contribute to SVF).
